CURRENT SEASON: Late Spring
Alphas currently allow breeding among other members. New pups will be born one month (real time) from their date of conception.
Summer has almost arrived and MudClaw has still received no word from any of the Black Mountain Pack... Not since the elder Fire Wind. Though others fear betrayal, SilverRapid in particular, Mudclaw still holds out a fragile hope for a peaceful resolution, in spite of the unprovoked attack against SilverRapid by one of the Black Mountain Pack's soldiers. With war closer than ever though, Mudclaw has realized he must prepare his Clan for anything, and he must begin the training of the pups he has neglected for far too long...Current positions are these (A brief description can be found below)-
Alphas (Filled): Mudclaw and Cattail
Betas (Filled): Autumn and Water Hawk
Medecine Wolf (Filled): Smooth Stone
Medicine Wolf Apprentice (Open, acceptence to be determined by Smooth Stone):
Elders (Always open): Cloudfur
Tellers (Open):
Pack Ally (permanently filled): Stormwing, a falcon
Scouts(Any number, always open): Bitter Rain, Silver Rapid, Dark Star, GreyClaw, Brown Strike, Leadpaw, Silent Wind, Arctic Scar
Pupsitters (Only necessary when pups become a part of the pack, position open): Eclipse
Apprentices (Open to those pups six months of age or older): Morning Lilly (alpa-in-training), Raze (scout-in-training)
Pups (always open): New Moon, Sand Snake, Small Squirrel
Omegas (Always open): Dancing Doe, WhiteFoam, Burning Bright
RANK DESCRIPTIONS:
Alpha -Leaders of the pack (Limit of two)
Beta -Second in command, lead in the alphas' abscence (Limit of two)
Medicine wolf - Heals sick and injured wolves of all packs, interprets signs sent to the pack (Limit of one plus an apprentice)
Elders -Oldest members of the pack. Elders are highly respected and the alphas often turn to them for advice. Elders also help to keep pack histories and legends alive
Teller- These are dedicated to keeping the histories and legends of the Swift River Clan alive. They are trusted advisors to the alphas. These differ from the Black Mountain Pack 'Legends' in that they also study lore from other packs, for wisdom can be gained from all history, no matter its source.
Pack ally: The aerial eyes and ears of TSRC, the pack ally is able to scout areas beyond TSRCs borders.
Scouts- Patrol borders, hunt for the pack, and fight in times of war
Pupsitter -Care for the pups of the pack until they are old enough to be apprenticed
Pups - The young ones of the pack
Apprentices - Pups of suitable age that are being trained by a mentor to be take on one of the above ranks.
Omegas - Lowest rank, basically does whatever is told by the higher ranks, sometimes wolves captured from other packs

MARKINGS AND RANK INDICATION:
PACK ID MARKINGS- TSRC wolves are identified by a long, vertical scar on their right fore-shoulder.
RANK INDICATION: Indicated by a trinket wrapped around the neck by a thin piece of leathered hide...
Alpha: Bear claw
Beta: Cougar tooth/teeth
Medicine wolf: Dove Feather
elder: Elder wears the strip but no indication, showing that their years of service to the pack are done.
pack ally: None (Is not an offical member of the pack)
Scouts: small rodent skull
Pupsitter: deer hoof
Pups: None
Apprentice: bears none until he/she gains it themself.
Omega: none
